EAC Killing Apex Launch at Splash Screen
Hi, I've been dealing with a complete inability to launch Apex Legends for roughly 3 months now and have exhausted every troubleshooting option I can think of. Hoping someone here can help or escalate this.
**The Issue:**
Apex launches to the splash screen and then instantly closes. No crash logs are generated anywhere — no apex_crash.txt, nothing in Windows Event Viewer Application or System logs.
**What I've tried:**
- Multiple factory resets (2+)
- 3-4 fresh installs via both Steam and the EA App
- File repairs
- Clean GPU driver install (AMD Adrenalin Edition, latest)
- Manual EasyAntiCheat uninstall and reinstall via EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
- Cleared all EA/Respawn/Apex leftover folders from %localappdata%, %appdata%, and %programdata%
- Disabled all overlays (AMD, Discord, etc.)
- Killed all peripheral software (Razer, ASUS Armory Crate, Logitech) before launching
- Tested multiple launch options including -no_render_on_input_thread
- Verified account has no bans or suspensions
**Key finding from Windows System Event Log:**
Every time I attempt to launch Apex, the System log shows this pattern:
1. EasyAntiCheat_EOSSys service installs and loads successfully
2. EasyAntiCheat_EOSSys immediately unloads
This happens within seconds of every launch attempt. EAC never shows as a running process — it loads and dies before Apex can initialize.
**Important:** Fall Guys, which also uses EasyAntiCheat, launches and runs perfectly fine on the same machine. This rules out a system-wide EAC compatibility issue.
**System Specs:**
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500
- GPU: AMD RX 5700 XT
- RAM: 32GB
- OS: Windows 11 25H2
- Storage: WD Black SN850X 1TB (C:), WD Black SN770 1TB (D:)
- Both drives report Healthy status
The fact that Fall Guys EAC works fine but Apex's EAC silently unloads every single time suggests something specific to Apex's EAC configuration or a backend flag on my account/machine ID that is silently terminating the process. EA Support closed my ticket without a response.
Any help or escalation would be greatly appreciated.
