@Arne99 This is what has been happening to me too except there's nothing "micro" about my stutters. It's a near constant stutter whenever I go to do... literally anything. I've also gotten most, if not all, of the red error symbols. I also checked task manager and it looked to me that apex was taking up A LOT more memory than it should/ was normal (so possible memory leak?).

I did a manual install of KB4534310 and could now start the game but have microstutter.
I just want to elaborate on my microstutter, for me and kid that are on a diffrent rig with same issue is that the stutter is more of a small freeze every 10-15 seconds, regardless if in main menu or in game.
A guess is that the anticheat software now do either a report/question over the net or a file integrity check every 10-15 seconds and uses some system resource in a blocking way for apex exe, just that small hang thing at least should be a easy fix and maybe that also could be a crash reason depending on version of the op. I do have a lot of years in the software area.

I just tried a few rounds now and did now observe that in the main menu just moving the mouse left to right make the character "jitter" while doing it, add to above info.

Is there any log on the PC of what Easy Anti Cheat does? If it blocks you because it found a file in its blacklist of "cheater files"?
No, because then we'd be able to troubleshoot.
I bet a lot of us have some file that EAC has determined (possibly mistakenly) is a cheater file, and so it's blocking us.
For everyone who was using Autoruns to flag drivers, figure out what program they're connected to and update or remove that software. It fixed my problem (mine was AOMEI Backupper).

It maybe EA with forcing on the old KB4534310 that did brake it for all of us do maintain our systems manually or something other in the update it self.
KB4534310 was the last patch for win 7 reading more about it and it was botched so they where forced to correct a error introduced with it with KB4539602 regarding background/wallpaper, I did put that fix on as well just in case but same issue, also tried to disable background yes a long shot.
If you do google "KB4534310 lag" you will see by forcing it onto systems before in other games KB4534310 caused problems.
So the question is as I see it:
Is it that KB4534310 or the game update that is causing this?
Using the autroun utility suggested earlier in the thread was a good thing to clean system up, so thanks for that.
The problem left now for me is the interrupt in game caused by mouse movements especially visible in main menu but occur as a short stop in 15-20sec interval in game, I will elaborate:
Summarize for me,
In main menu just moving the mouse left and right make the character stutter that in any resolution!
In game constant a short stop every 15-20sec otherwise smooth.
