    Hi @MAJOR_JAX

    In a lot of cases error 15 comes up because security software is blocking the game. Have you checked to see if there is an exception for Apex Legends or Origin in your antivirus? Adding an exception may help stop the error from coming up.

  • Easy Anti Cheat error code 29 and 15

    Hi Everyone,

    I recently reinstalled Apex because I was experiencing low FPS (another bug that I will have to work on later). I uninstalled Apex and Origin, rebooted PC and then reinstalled both applications. When I opened up apex (as admin) I get either error code 29 and error code 15 in the EAC banner. It won't even launch the game. I have tried reinstalling and I still get the same errors. I have checked my anti virus and firewall and made exemptions and it made no difference.

    Has anyone else been experiencing this or found a fix? It's really frustrating how many bugs this game has.

    error details:

    GameID: 154 (64bit)
    Windows Version: 10.0 (Build 19041)
    Error Code: 29
    Process Exit Code: 103h
    UUID: bdaae61c-e288-ad6a-f5c7-7b1ef3c894d8
    Process list:
    (This part was full of exe files)

  • I no longer get error 15, now I only get 29. Could I please have some guidance on this issue ?

    @TTVSneakySandals

    Thanks, I appreciate those details.

    When you have a chance could you try starting up your PC in a Clean Boot to see if that helps at all? If there's something else running on the PC that could be causing this error that may help to get around it.

    For more info on how to set one up check out the EA Help website. Let me know how that goes when you have a chance.

    Thanks!

    /Kent

  • @EA_KentI did this last night while talking to support and it still gave me error 29. I also tried clearing origin cache, flushing DNS. It's not my network because it launches fine on another machine with same anti virus. It's something to do with the fact that I uninstalled and reinstalled I just don't know how to get it working

    @TTVSneakySandals

    Thanks for following up!

    When you reinstalled did you install the game on a different storage drive than the one you were using previously?

    /Kent

  • @EA_Kent No I installed in the exact same place.

    I fixed it in the end by reinstalling windows. Pretty disappointing it had to come to that but I exhausted all other options.

    @TTVSneakySandals

    Thanks for following up and letting me know.

    I know that reinstalling Windows entirely can be quite an ordeal, but I'm glad to hear you were able to get it working afterward. 👍

    Dang, I really dont want to go through the trouble of reinstalling windows. All my games with Easy Anti Cheat throws exact same error. Other games that doesnt use EAC works fine. Did chkdisk and sfc scan as well...
