Should check out the post I just made, I believe its to do with routing of the game traffic. I have noticed that UDP traffic hits EU servers if you have EU region selected. But TCP traffic hits US servers despite EU being selected. Also check what your lobby latency shows. For example I am from South Africa and play on EU servers, its supposed to show 180ms but it doesnt and shows what I would get to a US lobby 300ms.
So in the lobby I sit at around 30-50ms when everything is working but before or after having a laggy terrible match the lobby ms will jump to 160+ms. In the match it shows expected 30-50ms but feels like 100ms+. I see what you're saying on your post, it makes sense if the traffic is being split why I would see a totally playable ms but then in game it feels so terrible. Hopefully this will get sorted one day
