I recently switched the EA account my PSN account was on, do not do that, i tried logging into my Apex Legends stuff just be met with a clean slate. Now Ik **bleep** well someone can help me unlink m...
Keep in mind that when you unlinked your account, it warned you about potential data loss and that you would not be able to unlink it until a set date if you were to relink it.
Here's an example when I tried to unlink my Xbox account:
However, your in-game progress is not lost, for it's still stored on the EA Account your PSN account was previously linked to. You can still access this progress via other platforms, and via your PSN account if you were to relink it.
Though as far as I'm aware, EA Support is not able to remove the 6-month restriction, as this has been implemented for security reasons. You can still open a ticket if you want via: https://help.ea.com/en/help-home/ But I don't think that would be a fruitful endeavor, as security implementations are rarely circumvented, and for good reason.
I was forced to link my steam to this EA account as they wouldn't send me the authentication emails to verify my main account. The advisor told me they could remove it for me since I was somewhat forced into the issue by their emails not working. Was told to log into this account to raise the case, and was then told by a new advisor that there is nothing to be done and I had to wait 6 months. Typically, I wouldn't care. The issue is that my choices were to either not play, or spend hours attempting to get a hold of an advisor (which I ended up having to do anyways) in attempt to fix it.
Such a ridiculous issue to have to deal with from such a large company. They say, "we're here for player satisfaction".... at this point I don't think anyone believes that.
