So what on earth should I do? I can't get any help from customer service, and I'm unable to file an appeal.

Community ManagerI’ve tried that. When I fill out the form without logging in and select appeal as the reason, it tells me that advisors can’t help with this issue. If I choose any other reason, the submit button does nothing at all when I click it.So yeah, it doesn’t work.
You should be submitting a dispute by using the instructions here. Since advisors can't help with disputes, you most likely can't open a case with them for this.
