Steam and Xbox Cross Progression

I have my steam account linked to my Xbox account (my old apex account) and now when i try to play through steam it just logs me in as a new account as if my steam has not been linked to my xbox for multiple years?

Heya,

All in-game progress is stored on the EA Account.
Platform accounts linked to the EA Account will get access to said progress and make it possible to progress further.

If on Steam it's showing different progress, it's very likely that your Steam account was not linked to the same EA Account that your Xbox account is linked to.

Can you confirm if they are linked to the same EA Account on this page?
