High GPU Core Clock after exiting game
after I exit game, my GPU core clock remains on high value (1775mhz), I have RTX 3060TI. no other game or 3d application, including benchmarks causes such an issue, ONLY Apex Legends.
what I tried: installed new NVME on my system, installed win10 and win11 (tried both), installed latest drivers and OS updates. tried default and custom driver and windows settings, power management settings, g-sync on/off, gpu scheduling on/ff and many more. there's nothing I found in processes, that might use GPU, even tried nvidia GPU activity indicator.
I have still the same problem. during match, core clock is around 1935-1950 mhz, on menu 1775mhz. it is the same in every other game, but when I quit other games, my gpu core clock drops to 210-320mhz, but after I quit Apex Legends, it remains on 1775mhz. it also affects gpu memory clock and it has high clocks speed as well. I only have to restart my PC to I got it fixed. it even affects other games pefrormance.
ONLY Apex Legends has such behavior, nothing else. tried a lot of demanding games, applications and benchmarks, no issue, but Apex...
disable nvidia reflex. leave it to Enable and don't use +boost. restart PC and problem will be fixed.
it fixed problem for me. I wasted 1 week to find out.
thank you, EA for such a buggy game and 0 support from technical team <3
