High Packet Loss But Low Ping
ever since the update of the 4th of march 2026 I've been experiencing a immense amount of packet loss making the game unplayable.
as a way to try and fix the issue myself I've done the following:
- port forwarded all UDP and TCP ports
- repaired easy anti cheat (i get the currency constantly loading bug along with "failed anti cheat authentication error as well")
- repaired the game files
- allowed all executables relating to apex legends though the windows firewall
- set apex legends and the easy anti cheat as administrator
- tried multiple different data centers
- changed my backup and preferred DNS
- disabled and or paused devices on my network
- uninstalled or disabled background applications
- used TCPOptimizer
- and finally ran a speed test using google to see if it is just my internet but spoilers it is NOT my internet
I will provide a gameplay video and a screenshot of my internet speed test as well as the anti cheat authentication error
as you can see i don't think my internet is the issuei usually get this error when i return from a game where i had packet loss the entire time and or a majority of the matchmy main data center is us-west-2 for clarification, i normally never have any packet loss once so ever, and as you can see my ping is low.
