So ever since the Season 13 launch I , (along with a few other friends) have been suffering from terrible server performance. We are all playing on PS5, I am specifically playing the PS4 version of the game (because Sony has not released back button attachments for DualSense.) I had no issues before this last update and have tried everything from restarting/unplugging my console to re-downloading the game. Any time I spin my character in a 360 I start having visual stuttering as if my frames are clipping, and my ping shoots from 35ms to 75ms. I notice it anytime I move my character. Everything feels choppy if that makes sense. I've also been having really weird texture/asset pop ins. I don't know what they broke this time, but it is incredibly frustrating to put money into a game that is always breaking.Anyone else having these issues?

@EA_Kent I mean every season on ps5 , fps was a stable 59 or 60 , now I’m having fluctuations in ping and fps at the same time. My fps goes from 60 to 70+ in milliseconds. Please look at this , This has significantly affected my gameplay

Hi @EA_Kent I am playing on the laptop. After S13 install having ping spikes issues and twitching/stuttering in the game. Ping is different in the game (up to 70) then highlighted in the main menu (25-27). I did this and nothing changed. This all started happening after the season launch, there are other posts about this. I highly doubt it has anything to do with my internet as I can play COD and Overwatch with no problems. There is definitely something server related.

Which datacenter are you playing on? Does switching datacenters make any difference?

@EA_Kent I have the exact same issue and posted about it as well with clips. I can’t play this game like this as it’s significantly impacting my performance

I play on the South Carolina server as I live in Georgia. It does not make a difference which server I play on, if anything it's worse whenever I switch to a different server. I've reset my internet, disconnected from the wifi on my PS5, turned the console on and off, uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it has not changed anything.

Ur not the only one here, im having the same issue too and im on ps5, it has happened since the update of s13 cuz when it was s12 it was pretty fine, they gotta patch this up cuz seriously its so annoying whenever turning around

Have you been seeing any of the other in-game performance icons popping up in-game when the ping starts spiking?

No, no icons appear. Just my ping fluttering between numbers really fast whenever I move my character.

If you haven't already can you try setting a different DNS on your PS5 to see if that helps? I've seen some cases where changing the DNS can help with issues like this. You can update the DNS using the steps below:

Open your PS5 Settings

Go to Network

Select Settings on the Network screen

Select Set Up Internet Connection

Choose the network you're connected to

Select Advanced Settings

Select DNS Settings

Choose Manual

Enter 8.8.8.8 as the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 as the Secondary DNS. This is the public Google DNS, but I've heard that using the Cloudflare DNS resolver can also help (Primary DNS: 1.1.1.1)

Select OK
