I got back in the game after 2 years, now my progress is lost (Switch)

I wanted to hop back into Apex Legends through the Switch, because this is where I first played the game. I played for 300+ hours in total around 2021-ish and stopped playing for a while. I'm using the same email for the Nintendo Account and the EA Account. I have linked my EA to Steam prior, and they're all using the same email.

When I installed the game again on Switch, it asked me to link my EA Account, and now all my progress is lost and I'm reset to Level 1. 

I read that there's a bug where account progress resets? I'm not sure if my account was affected. But my Nintendo Switch stats do reflect that I've been playing for an extended period of time. Is there any way to retrieve my progress?
