Integrity error 0x8000002 after today's update

Hey all,

Last night I played fine until 10 PM, no cheats/third-party tools ever. Today after the subtitle update, I get Integrity error 0x8000002 saying I have "external tools" — but I have video proof of my clean background processes & installed software. No new programs added since last night.

Anyone else getting this false positive? Devs, can we get this fixed?

Open Device Manager. Uninstall all devices prefixed with 'Daemon Tools' under 'Storage controllers' and 'Universal Serial Bus controllers'.

Deleted the game and reinstalled. Then I did a "verify file integrity" and it found bad files. I did a repair again and rebooted the system. Still getting the same error.

I was playing Apex today with no issues. I ran the update later today and then started getting this error.
I repaired the 1) Apex files, 2) reinstalled Easy Anti Cheat, 3) disabled the Razor Cortex app, 4) deleted the Steam download cache, and 5) Rebooted the system 2x. I am only running my VPN, and the Steam Client app.
I am creating a backup of the game files and going to try a delete and reinstall next.
