Link Steam account back to an older EA account keeps the same data?
To start off, this is really all my fault. I am not super happy with support, but that's not their fault. To start off, I have 2 EA accounts and one Steam account for Apex. I wanted to link the Steam to the new EA account I made because... I don't remember anymore, but I wanted it linked. So since I knew nothing about linking and unlinking, I unlinked my old EA account with all my data from my Steam and linked the Steam to a new EA account with nothing (without proper research or anything). I lost all my progress in Apex, but that's ok, since I can unlink it... or so I thought.
I asked support (multiple times, explaining situation and everything) and they said they cannot unlink it because... there were steam purchases to the account that made it unlinkable (Octane pack with spider skins) so support couldn't override unlink? but I made these purchases BEFORE the unlinking, so how was I able to unlink the account then...? I could talk about how useless some of the support was, but at least some of them helped me. Anyways, the connections tab in my account said it could be unlinked after 6 months (23/07/02), so I patiently waited until then.
I waited 6 months which I still think is ridiculous, and after that, I am able to unlink it. Now my question is: will I keep my data now that I can link it back to the right EA account? I've spent a lot of money on this game. I am in the same club as the lost EA account, and I can see it's the same banner, the same everything the way I left it. I just want to make sure 100% I will not just get sucked back into a clean install account of Apex and it overwrites the old data, because I unlinked it with no knowledge of anything and without asking or any looking into the situation and I don't want to make the same mistake. PLEASE tell me it's safe to link it back now without going through multiple support agents who may or may not understand the situation properly.
sorry if the English is weird sometimes, I'm not 100% native. Thanks.
