Lost progress from Account and Skins Due to Account Migration Issues

Hello EA Support,

I am writing to seek help with an issue that occurred on November 3rd, when I lost access to my EA account. I changed my email and migrated my account to a new one, which resulted in losing my stats and skins. After receiving incorrect advice from EA Support (which is documented on both accounts), I unlinked and relinked my account but was unable to recover anything. This happened during the cross-progress period.

Why I Changed My Account:
I wanted to switch to my new email, moving away from an old account. Unfortunately, I lost all my skins and stats in the process. I have a total of 4,907 hours played on PlayStation (I Stopped playing on 2022..)

Current Situation:
I have relinked my original account, but EA Support tells me there is no record of this. However, I have an email sent to that account where I was sanctioned for actions that were unfair or illegal, proving that this is the correct email.

Key Points:

  1. Stats Recovery:
My primary concern is recovering my stats. I have 4,907 hours of gameplay on PlayStation (proof attached). Despite being linked to my account, I have lost all my stats and skins. I need my banners, skills, and stats restored. If my skins are returned, I will be satisfied.

  2. Cosmetics and Refund:
If my stats cannot be restored, I demand a refund for all the cosmetics tied to my over 2,000 levels and purchases. I lost rare items, all battle passes I paid for, and various skins, putting me at a disadvantage against other players with better skins. I need all these cosmetics refunded or returned in some form.

  3. Account Restoration:
Ideally, I would like my account fully restored. If EA can reset accounts to a point before April 2nd, they should be able to do the same for mine. As someone who has played over 5,000 hours, I need my account restored to a point before all this happened.

Final Request:
I have contacted EA Support more than 50 times this year. I need someone on this forum to help me and possibly contact me directly to address this issue. I am willing to invest whatever it takes to resolve this.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Thank you for helping me out with this issue.

Best regards,

    Hey @mamc026,

Thanks for including all the details here. Sorry to hear that you've had so much trouble trying to get this resolved.

Looking over the account however, as you mentioned it does appear the PlayStation account was first unlinked from this EA Account back in November.

I'm afraid it's not possible to transfer progress from one EA Account to another and in fact anytime you unlink an account there's a risk of permanently losing access to the content on that EA Account. While relinking can restore access to that content in some cases, that's not always possible.

We have more details about that in the unlinking article here as well, though I've attached the relevant portion below and it sounds like this has been discussed with support.

When you unlink a platform account from your EA Account, you can link it to another EA Account, but your in-game progress won’t transfer over.

That means you’ll permanently lose access to:

    • games and game progress
    • DLC, expansions, and anything extra you have for your game
    • memberships and subscriptions
    • in-game purchases.

If you unlink your platform account and link it back to your original EA Account, you may be able to get your stuff back if you still can access the account.

    Unlinking risks for Apex players

If you unlink a platform account that you use to play Apex Legends, you might have issues with Battle Pass leveling, item unlocks, and other errors.

Instead of unlinking and relinking a platform account you play Apex on, we recommend starting fresh on a new account.

If you've re-linked to the original EA Account and have logged back in on the same platform without seeing progress restored, I'm afraid there wouldn't be any other alternatives available in this type of situation.
