my camera freezes for a few seconds and the movement delays

When I played today in bot royal in apex legends, my camera sometimes freezes for a few seconds, and when i press jump or go forward or any movement it takes 1 second to register the movement that I want to do, how can I fix this? thanks in advance

  • @Adammas Alright, for starters, here's the game's system requirements.

Looking at the minimum requirements, you meet the CPU and GPU requirements, which means you should also be meeting the RAM requirement as well.

That being said, I would take a look at the Nivida settings panel and see if its changing settings for the game. You may also need to change the Window's graphics settings as well, (because sometimes it doesn't use the Nivida card).

To change the Windows Graphic setting:

Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics > Change Apex Legends' graphics

I would still make sure the system is up to date and repairing the system files also wouldn't hurt, (even if nothing is corrupted), and yes, the system's files can get corrupted for any reason. I've had files become corrupted just by turning on my PC before, (but that doesn't happen too often).

  • @Adammas Sounds like it could be an issue with your PC.

What is your PC's specs and are you running anything like AMD Adrenalin?

If you don't meet the system requirements, it can cause these issues, while programs such as AMD Adrenalin can also cause the issues with certain settings enabled.

For me, I meet the system requirements, but AMD Adrenalin was applying graphic settings that was causing issues with the game. As soon as I've turned the settings off, Apex stopped having the frozen and delayed frames when moving around.

Other things you can try is to make sure your PC is up to date, (including the drivers), and you may also have to repair your system's files.

    To repair your system's files:

    Spoiler
    - Open the Command Prompt in administrator mode

    - Type, "DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" (without the quotes), and wait for it to finish.

Note: DISM stands for "Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool". It often repairs Microsoft related files, such as issues with Window apps. Some problems with the next file checker can only be fixed after running this one first.

    - Now type, "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes), and wait for it to finish.

Note: sfc stands for "System File Checker". This one will repair system files, (such as important Windows drivers).

    - Lastly, restart your PC.
