OOPS, Something went wrong, please try again later (100) apex legends

I had the same issue. What fixed it for me is I put my PS4 into safe mode and rebuilt my database and for some reason that seemed to work.

I have downloaded this game on my ps4. Opened it and got message “Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again later (100)” and after multiple (5 so far) reinstalls and resetting internet, restarting PlayStation. Still nothing changes. Same message everytime. Friends downloaded it on their ps4 and never had any issues. What the heck is going on????

Let me start off by saying I love this game. It is probably the best BR I've played. However, that love can only get me so far because I constantly am unable to play due to the main menu not loading, among other bugs. If I'm lucky I'll get about 2 games in a day before being booted off the servers and forced to press X on the start menu, which leads to an infinite spinning load symbol or error code 100, or the inability to connect to PSN or contact EA servers. If I'm lucky enough to get past that then I'll ready up as a solo and it'll say "Party Not Ready" despite the fact that I'm solo and readied up. It's hard to justify starting up the game in the first place if I know I'll encounter these problems. I've considered that it's my internet, but that is refuted by the fact that I can turn on any other online game and play immediately. These need to be fixed or I'll probably have to delete the game and make space on my hard drive for functional apps.
