PS4 Low Performance
I'm writing to report a drop in performance in Apex Legends on PS4.
Since Season 25, I've noticed a progressive drop in FPS on all maps, especially in Battle Royale modes (Ranked and Public).
With Season 27 and the introduction of the new Olympus, the situation worsened further, with FPS dropping below 20 in some cases.
Season 28 brought a slight improvement on average, but performance remains, in my opinion, insufficient for a game that is still technically supported (25-45fps).
I understand the hardware limitations, but since it ran much better until a few seasons ago, I believe it's not just a hardware limitation issue, but rather unresolved optimization issues. It runs slightly better on Wildcard, while in deathmatch modes, the average FPS is often stable at 60fps.
As a programmer, I know that solving optimization problems isn't always easy and often requires significant re-engineering. Therefore, I'm asking if it would be possible to implement a "Performance" mode that reduces graphical elements such as shadows, ambient occlusion, texture filtering, model quality, particle effects, or map details, thus reducing the load on the GPU, CPU, and RAM. It would be a great success to recover a good average of 50 and a minimum of 35-40. It would be nice to get back to the good old stable 60 of the past, but I understand that perhaps that's asking too much.
My PS4 is regularly cleaned, and the game is installed on an SSD.
Apex is also the only game installed.
All my friends on PS4 are experiencing the same "performance".
