Hey GKMedic,
Packet loss is normally an indication of a problem with the connection, and since you could also isolate the problem to your home network by bringing your setup to a second location, I'd recommend you check your home network's configuration more in-depth and make changes there.
To start, for instance, you could try using a different Ethernet cable and different ports on the PC/Modem; sometimes that helps.
If you have another modem/router to try, it might help you further isolate whether the problem stems from the hardware rather than the network.
Have you already tried changing the DNS to Google's or OpenDNS for a few hours to check if that helps?
Maybe there are just too many other devices connected to your home network while you play that are causing interference?
It could also be something on the ISP's side that you can't fix by yourself.
I don't have direct visibility into your network, so I can't help you pinpoint the problem exactly; however, you could reach out to your ISP to see if they can address the packet loss specifically. I can tell you that setting up a DMZ or a Static IP helped other players in the past.
I hope these suggestions help you figure this out. Let us know how it goes!
Hi EA_Claus ,
Thanks for the response. I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
As I said in the original post, I have already reconfigured the network that is causing the problems from a Modem/Router combo to what is now a meshed network. That being said, Ethernet cables have been swapped, and I am using the mesh router rather than the Modem router.
In regards to your other suggestions, I'll first try to use the open Google DNS server, and if that fails, attempt to set up a DNZ with a static IP.
All that being said, I do see other posts on the forum reporting a similar problem to mine, many of which report using Xfinity as their ISP, which is also my ISP. If all of this fails, I would suggest it might be a communication error between EA/Respawn servers and Xfinity as a service, which would be more effective to solve as a problem as a whole, rather than on a case-by-case basis.
Regardless, thanks again for the response, and I'll update soon with any successes or failures.
