Same here, everything was totally fine 2 days ago then all of a sudden I'm running 70-80 fps avg.
CPU: i9-9900k
GPU: 2080ti
tested nvidia drivers - 446.14 / 452.06 / 456.71 / 456.98 and even 457.00(vulkan beta) still hugh fps drop.
Could you try to reset graphics settings.
Close Apex, add +fps_max unlimited to the Startup Parameters in Orgin.
Set AMD Chill Max and Min to the same FPS well below your Monitor HZ (like 128 for a 144Hz Monitor)
Vsync controlled by Application
Launch Apex, set your Apex Video Settings.
Try tripple Buffer VSYNC
6GB VRAM (NOT 8 für the 5700! so one Step below what you would expect)
(I have the Rest pretty much on low or off with the exception off Bullet Marks, Ragdoll med., A. Filtering 16x)
I have again smooth Frametimes - no stutter - with locked fps after lauch drop.
I still believe it was smoother before a Season 6 patch.
Recheck your Texture Setting - mine reset ist to low for several times - if that happened it set it back to 6gb even in game.
Some how that helped against stuttering - low setting is / was awfull!
- @acenin9 Some people referred to the driver update to be the issue. Try and do a clean installation for the driver suggested and see of it works
- @vF_fatal another player here mentioned the same issue with high-end specs, I still believe that the issue is from Respawn's end.
Honestly, after 3 days of fighting(i think i did everything) i think to give up with this game and just do uninstall. Won't play on 10980xe + rtx 3090 with 100fps(even if everything is on low...!!!wtf!??) because this is just ridiculous..i spent a lot of money on this game(like many other peoples i think)and I can demand more from the developers than only new cosmetics in the game. Each new update destroing something. It seems the last silent patch destroyed the game.
I can add that highest drop fps - to 90 i have in rooms.. i didn't have this before. min/max graphic details makes no difference.
I finally found something that worked - turning off Nvidia Reflex:
- Open the Origin Launcher.
- Go to My Game Library.
- Find Apex Legends and right-click the game.
- Select Game Properties.
- Click the Advanced Launch Options tab.
- +gfx_nvnUseLowLatency 0 to disable NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency.
Let me know if it works for you!
only Change that from on to off - apex perfil with nvidia profileinspector and apply.

is done... no more 138 cap or anyelse, 0 sttuter and u can use riva turner cap (the best and still works with ultra latency mode!)
ENJOY!
still nothing, same drop to 90fps,and as i said before - on fire range i have 300+ fps.
- @CheapCheese disable NVIDIA Reflex didn't work
I read somewhere that it could be tickrate server problem..
- @vF_fatal Try and download the software I mentioned earlier.
Run ThrottleStop, it will give you a warning, read it carefully and click on 'Ok'.
Find the option that says BD PROCHOT.
Uncheck that option.
Now try and monitor your framerate in a normal game (not the firing range) - @Fayoui there's no reason anybody should have to download a 3rd party app just to play a game smh.
if I know correctly, the program is for notebooks. Checked anyway and still nothing. gpu max used - 75% cpu - 40%. There is no throttling.
Anyway I can have proof that the problem is with the servers, I have a critical point on the map where the frames droping to 80fps,once today I had at this place 200+ fps and I didn't change anything, gpu usage increased on the map 80-100%. everything was back to "normal" at the next game ☹️
yesterday I noticed a strange thing..reinstalled my system and used windows insider preview fresh dev version.. game worked fine at the start - full locked fps in places where there was a drop before ..but...the drop in frames began in the middle of game. playing on desktop, watching my temp/used in msi afterburner so it isn't thermal throttling. anyway, after two hours everything was back to "normal" - drops to 90fps. I do not know what's going..I have never experienced anything like this. As i said - probably just servers.
My bet is that its due to the antihack engine, because on normal game it never happens to me, only in ranked, and SPECIALLY when im aiming directly at an enemy, also, it wouldnt be a surprise, most shooter games i have played reach a point where its antihack becomes a performance handicapper for half the population
Since 2 days my fps are back to normal..

What did you change or how did you fix it? I still get low FPS on major parts of the map that drop to like 40 FPS on a 2080ti & i9 7900
nothing.. I assume the problem was with the servers. now stable 200+
- @vF_fatal What thats weird. Mine is still the same
@acenin9try to start the game with a shortcut..not via origin. make sure that " disable fullscreen optimization" option is marked. i checked on my second pc with 8086k + 1080ti and i have nearly stable capped 190fps.
- @vF_fatal nope didnt work either

I want to say it has something to do with the servers also. Yesterday randomly for 10 hours the game was rock solid with no performance issues. Then randomly it tanked, and even while playing saw the servers start to struggle.
I believe now this has to do on EA's end with the servers. I think time of day is also impactful on this.
