Your CPU is below the minimum system requirements for Apex Legends and therefore wont be able to run the game.

Minimum system requirements:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-6300 3.8GHz / AMD FX-4350 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor
  • RAM: 6GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 / Radeon HD 7700
  • GPU RAM: 1 GB
  • HARD DRIVE: Minimum 30 GB of free space

There's sadly nothing we can do except press the "me too" button on threads in here.

POPCNT is a part of the SSE4 CPU instructions as can be seen here:

    I have the same problem with  Intel Xeon E5450 3.00 GHz ☚ī¸ rly its good processor

    Unfortunately any of socket 775 wont work. We should make a pettion or something so they patch it and let us play.

    minimal requirement is i3-6300 so it doesnt till they give fix for it, but i guess they wont

    That's the CPU i'm using, along with a GTX 750ti. It doesn't work. Same error message: CPU does not have POPCNT!

    Do you know if they will patch it so older CPUs that miss sse 4.2 will be supported ?

    Same problem on Q9550 OC 3.8 , nvdia 1060 , 12gb DDR3. They need to patch it but i guess they are lazy or have better things to do anyway is 1 code line to be changed 20 min job. Anyway they will patch it as soon as the player numbers dont go up or going down.

    What do you mean it's below requirements, my QUAD CORE is much better than that minimum requirement, just because it's diferente and old does not mean it's worse. I can run RAINBOW SIX SIEGE 60 FPS. Don't tell me your * kid * game is heavier than RAINBOW SIX SIEGE. STOP BEING LAZY AND FIX IT.

    My CPU runs instrunctions sets SSE3 and SSE4.1 so why it won't run?

    Hi. Not revelant to the question, but i've been wondering. I have the same cpu with Asus P5G41T-M LX Motherboard. How did you get 3.8GHz? Can you write me your jumper settings?

    Unlocked multipliers on XFX nForce 790i ultra sli motherboard make it quite flexible for the X5470.

    Players with a clearly capable spec (3.0+ GHZ quad core, 8-16 GB system RAM, recent GPU with 4GB~ VRAM) want to play this game.

    Retro-compatibility for POPCNT can be patched in.
