Severe FPS drops in Apex — 240fps → 80fps - 40fps.

I’ve been experiencing severe and consistent FPS drops in Apex Legends. My game normally runs at a stable 240 FPS, but at the moment, my FPS tanks to anywhere between 120-80-40. This happens every match and makes the game almost unplayable during combat. This has been happening for months and only getting worse. 
After trying to format my pc, clean install all the drivers, tweaking settings and overclocking/underclocking and trying different mice and other peripherals, digging around on the internet and using AI.

I did manage to find a fix that solved it.

I disabled hyper threading via bios and my FPS is now stable again.
