For some reason every time i try to install Apex Legends on my PC on origin, It keeps getting stuck on 40% and saying preparing to launch i dont know why because I am trying to download and not even play so i dont know why it is trying to launch!
Having exactly the same issue. Waiting to speak to technical support now so will post what they say...
I had the same issue..The download time would show 0h 00m 00s too
I solved it by manually renaming `.DIP_Staged` files
And running EasyCheat Installer from<Library_Origin>\Apex\EasyAntiCheat

IDK what that file is, cant find it either.
Simply uninstall Origin from the application in the folder, then reinstall it from the setup. Worked for me.
Did you try to change your install location

I have the exact problem with you , tried everything last night (C++ Reinstall origin...etc)
Just change the install location and it works lol
