Re: What to do if your Apex Legends account got banned or suspended

I returned home from work as usual and was working on my LMG weapon mastery progress.

I was playing Bot Royal and a few seconds after the first round started to contract, I got a message saying, "Your account has been suspended."

I'm a keyboard and mouse player, I haven't changed any equipment, and I haven't installed any strange software. I'm a perfectly normal player.

Of course, I immediately filed an objection. I had participated in YouTuber-led matches several times, and I had videos of those matches, so I thought I would have no problem.

However, the management refused to listen, decided I was a violator, and made their final decision on the tenth offense.

I apologize for the delay, but the reason is "to enhance gameplay." The reason I'm bringing this up is because there are other players whose accounts have been suspended for the same reason.

The reason why famous streamers have their accounts suspended and then later reinstated is because they have collusion with the platform operators. In fact, they can still play and promote the game even now.

To the admins and the EA TOS team: If you're watching, take action. There are plenty of innocent players. Please don't take away innocent accounts for the vague reason of "enhancing gameplay."

Also, if anyone else has had their account suspended for the same reason, please leave a comment. If we gather enough comments, it's sure to get noticed.

Thank you for watching.

Edit: Merged message with the already existing thread for this issue. -CM

HaTo_Lee Um no... that would be a lot of work for just one person.

Any agent reviewing your case should already have access to all relevant information about your ban without anyone else forwarding information to them.

What criteria were used to make the decision?

No clue as that is not something EA shares publicly.

It's no exaggeration to say that our accounts were passed around and then thrown into the trash.

From what I know of, "gameplay enhancements", refers to the use of 3rd party devices to cheat, (such as Strikepacks, Xim, Chronus Zen, and Titan).

So, if you had used any device to cheat, then your ban is permanent:

On detection, enforcement will be immediate. Accounts confirmed to be using these devices to cheat will receive permanent bans after being removed from matches. We will not entertain appeals for leniency on accounts confirmed cheating.

We are committed to preserving competitive integrity in Apex Legends. If you choose to use hardware to gain an unfair advantage, you are choosing to lose your account permanently.

I also assume that cheating in other ways, (such as boosting, teaming, aimbotting, walling/ESPing, etc.), would also lead to a permanent and unappealable ban since Respawn "will not entertain appeals for leniency on accounts confirmed cheating".

I still can't trust the management of this game.😭

Thank you for your reply. I want to get my banned account back

JFHUAYUEFGUE You would have to appeal the ban with the EA TOS Team:

HaTo_Lee To my knowledge, the EA TOS Team does use templates, (which is often seen as a copy and paste, (or a bot/AI response)), however each appeal is reviewed by a real, (and different), person.

Midnight9746 The number of times varies from person to person. However, the content of the replies from the second to the ninth was all the same, meaning there was essentially no exchange of messages.

It was literally not worth discussing.

Thank you for your reply. I want to get my banned account back. This game has been with me for four years, and I regret that my account was banned because of my time playing in internet cafes.

HaTo_Lee I've heard players say that the limit was 3, so you at least got 7 more appeals in before being unable to appeal further.

    Midnight9746

    Thank you for your reply.

I've spoken with many advisors and accepted that it's impossible to get my main account back.

However, nowhere does it say that I can only file an objection up to 10 times, so I'm just angry at the department that isn't conducting a proper investigation.

HaTo_Lee Sorry, but bans cannot be handled on the forums as you would need to appeal it with the EA TOS Team, (which it sounds like you've already tried with no luck).

Sadly, if your appeals are being denied, then that does mean that the ban will be upheld.

JFHUAYUEFGUE It is never safe to play games at an internet cafe, like what Asmodeus566 says in their blog about account security:

    8. Do not use internet café’s to access your account to play. You do not know what software is on the hardware there. You do not know if the hardware at the cafe has a hardware ban.  All of this can affect your account in a negative way.

I didn't use any cheats, but my account was banned after playing the game a few times at an internet cafe. I'm very sorry, this game is very disappointing.
