Transfer apex coins

my girlfriend bought me 2 apex 20$ gift cards for christmas she doesnt play any video games and barely knows anything about apex and she didnt relize that the gift cards she bought were for origin  she was real excited to give them to me but turned out they wouldn't work when i tried to put them into the xbox apex will they be able to transfer over if i put them into my orgin account on my pc? or can she atleast get a refund she doesn't have the best paying job so it would be nice to actually use them for coins or for her to get her moeny back 

Please help

    Hey @ItsDreSlime 

    If your girlfriend prefers to get a refund, she would need to talk to the retailer directly to see if this is even possible. Not all gift cards are refundable. 

    If you merged your Xbox account with the Cross Progression update, your Apex Coins will be shared with your PC profile. To claim your coins in-game, simply log in to your PC using the same EA account and redeem the code. Remember that you need to launch the game on PC first.

    Check the Connections page in your EA Account settings to see if you are logging in with the correct profile.

    question can i just add the gift cards to my ea account on my mac book and then buy coins there or i have to have a pc that has apex on it to upload it to i tried to take them back to gamestop but they said i couldnt get a refund

    You need to open your game on a PC in order to claim your coins. Apex was not released on MacOS.
