Unclear Pass Split Duration for Ultimate Pass

I bought the ultimate pass during the first split, and did not know the pass progress would be reset after the split, as I have not played in a while. If I had known this, I either would've played more to secure the octane skin from the ultimate pass or not bought it at all. I was only two battle stars away from achieving the ultimate-exclusive octane skin, so is there any way it can be comped to my account, or a possibility of a refund? It feels like a waste of 20 dollars. It didn't clearly say when the split would end, only when the season would end so I thought I had a lot more time.
