Totally agree on giving the maps more variety in terrain — more hills, more height changes, more natural cover so it’s not just long-range tank/AA camping from spawn. And yeah, weapon balance needs work. That whole “I hit someone 4–5 times and they just stand there and one-tap me” thing is frustrating. Hit reactions, suppression, and movement penalties when you take damage would actually make gunfights feel way more grounded.
Hardcore mode could fix a lot of these pacing and TTK (time-to-kill) issues. And honestly, older Battlefield vets have been asking for it forever — something for the players who want tactics, coordinated pushes, and realistic damage instead of everyone bunny-hopping and popping up out of thin air.
I’m 100% with you on vehicle scoring balance too. Skilled infantry players shouldn’t always be buried under tank players on the scoreboard just because of their vehicle advantage. Battlefield used to reward raw skill no matter how you played — that should come back.
Bottom line: The beta shows big potential, but if DICE wants this game to hold players long-term, they need to:
- Capture that Battlefield atmosphere again (like BF1/BF3/BF4 vibes)
- Give us bigger, more tactical maps
- Balance infantry vs vehicles
- Bring in Hardcore and a proper hit reaction/damage model
- Keep a steady stream of new maps for variety
Here’s hoping they listen to all the community voices — not just the big streamers — before launch.
