Yeah, this is the reason I'm back playing 2042. I have a consistent 12-13 ping on giga fiber, it isn't me.
It's the server prioritizing the higher ping, (proof is in the network performance graphs) The burst packet framework of WiFi systems, and the Packet scheduling of 3 to 20 other devices on the typical console players network on is probably the largest issue.
If you really want to see some BS play Redsec and spectate the console/controller player that killed you. Beaming people consistantly through smoke, RPG's that never miss as long at they're within an aim-assist cone of aimbot, snipers that don't have to lead targets, and are often a meter behind a running target.
Its pretty evident to me why the STEAM player base has become smaller than Rainbow Six, a TEN year old game...
These aforementioned reasons, and the utter POOP that the skins are, and the joke of a season pass will kill this game.
