Cross play

Let me start out by stating that I have been playing console shooters for over 20 years. I've played various BR's as well. We've always fantasized of playing against other consoles. Finally it's come true but at what cost? The cheating alone has become rampant among so much of the gaming comminity. Most of the community agrees, we want a filter in order to prevent pc players in our lobbies. Our group typically plays with crossplay off until a certain point where we just can't find lobbies and we're forced to turn it on. I understand that there are alot of players in the steam world, but let's remember where gaming started and try and keep that in mind for the rest of us who haven't invested 2 thousand dollars in a computer setup.  The blatant difference in performance alone should be enough to say that a developer might think twice about adding a console only filter.

  • Yes, let's remember where gaming started, and that was on computers, long before consoles. And let's also remember that Battlefield was a PC-only game several years BEFORE consoles had a version to play. Let's don't forget that, okay! And cross-play started in this series with BF 2042, which was one of the worst decisions the franchise has ever made, in my honest opinion. Especially FORCING it on others. Both platforms should have the option to fully disable it, for those of us who would like to do so. And yes, I'd like to do so. No, I'd LOVE to do so. The game would not only run much smoother, but it would also be a much more enjoyable experience. I absolutely HATE seeing Battlefield being ruined with all this lame controller BS! And that's exactly what it is, lame BS! 😁 And I'm not hating on you thumb-twirlers, I am just against that being allowed in FPS games. It's basically cheating.

I leave cross-platform on... I'm a fairly decent player so playing again PC doesn't bother me... sure there are times when someone may be a little suspicious but I couldn't actually tell you if they are legit cheating or just very good. Best thing to do is report it and hope if they are cheating they catch a ban.
