EA/Dice needs to revert Portal Change

Question

I am a Veteran BF player. Been playing for the Last 20-25 years. I bought BF6 almost 100% for Portal with EA and Dice saying you can play it however way you want to play. ( No i was not a EXP Bot farmer)

But recently with the Last change they did to portal, made me question what they are doing. some people may hate the EXP bot farmers. i honestly don't really care considering EA and Dice said play how you want to play with no limits. In BF2042 the same thing happened within the first week or two. surely dice and EA would know this would happen. They did the same thing in 2042 and Killed portal only weeks after the game launched.

I currently before the update was Playing on my own server either alone or with some friends here and there mostly due to i am a truck driver and don't have amazing internet all over the country. I lag quite a bit but i play through it to enjoy the game. Now there is almost zero reason to play Portal. Unless you want a game mode like what you can do in GTA5 which I'm not complaining about and honestly in the next few months looking forward to seeing what some people make and Host.

But now i can not play at all due to there is zero progression on Portal. Sadly i cant do PVP with my spotty internet trust me I've tried.

Honestly its should be reverted. just unlock the cap of servers or don't allow persistent servers. Some people want to Bot farm and unlock everything fast Cool. Some people want to chill and no be a sweat like COD players. some people like me have bad internet at times and play portal so we can enjoy the game.

Still love BF6 but hope this gets reverted like the revert to Conquest tickets.

I agree. I was having so much fun with Breakthrough with no vehicles and most of the servers had a good mix of bots and PVP. Now it is only PVP or bot farms, or people farms where 1 team spawns right in front of the enemy and is instantly killed. Portal reminded me of the MW2 Invasion mode. That mode had a good mix of PVP and bots. It was one of my favorite game mods because I could just have a chill game with friends and still have a challenge.

Now if I want to progress my guns I have to go play with the 10 hours a day kids that never seem to miss. Hell I have been a very competitive FPS gamer for years but as I get older I just want to have a more relaxed game. I agree that bot farms need to go away but it would be nice to be able to have servers with 50-50.

I was having so much fun with the game in Beta and 1st week. 1st you took away things like getting on roof in Cairo(which made it a much better map) and now portal is not worth playing. I would really like a good mix like the old MOH days.

Here are some things we would like. The ability to get all progression with bots or PVP. Just make it where the bots give you less XP per kill and you get more for real players. That would make it more worth your while. Let portal not count for leader boards. Hell most of the people up there are usually not legit.

Give us the ability to bring back game modes from MOH and other BF games. I would love to be able to have blood money from BF Hardline in portal. That would be awesome!

Please do not listen to the loud few who do not like people playing bots because they want to farm them in PVP. Let people play how they want. That is why dedicated servers use to be so popular. People would host their own servers and if you didn't like the way it played you didn't play it.

We like the sandbox but it is not going to be much fun if you do not have the tools to play in it!

No one is saying you shouldn't be able to play with bots; however, using said mechanic to abuse the xp system and stats is not right or fair.
Before 2042, no Battlefield game ever gave XP for killing bots. BF2 only awarded XP on ranked servers, which didn’t even allow bots, and BF3/BF4 didn’t have bots in multiplayer at all.
