People are leaving BF6 to go back to COD. reason for this is because there is no free for all mode! If this mode was added to multiplayer and portal/creator, this would be an absolute game changer!!!...

Nobody I spoke to even played that mode, they only added the mode to try get more cod players, it launched as part of aftermath I think.
Who you spoke to doesn't seem very relevant. It's game mode that people seem to enjoy. It isn't the type of thing that people are going to play as their main game mode. It's just a nice little warm-up before people engage with the larger game modes like Conquest or Breakthrough. So there's no need to assume that this somehow encroaches upon the Battlefield identity.
This whole idea that Battlefield shouldn't be doing anything that could possibly appeal to CoD players, is typical Battlefield tribe mentality. Battlefield isn't that weak of a franchise that it'd lose its identity from having a casual game mode on the side.
