I want people who use sniper rifles to be able to contribute to the base.

Once they unlock the soflam they can distract enemies/keep them pinned down onobjectives,  spot everything, make enemy armour easier to deal with.

You don't need to charge from flag to flag to be useful.

In fact there is a change that would make them more useful, let recon select on a map where to place the drone.
