Is the Appeal Process Broken? 2+ Weeks Banned, 0 Support Team Response
Hey everyone,
I'm starting this thread to have a discussion about the current state of the ban and appeal process.
I was banned over two weeks ago. I immediately filed an appeal and have received zero human response.
The worst part? The ban has now officially lasted longer than the total time I was even able to play the game. I've effectively paid for a game I'm blocked from using.
Now, I know the first thing many will think is, "just another crying cheater." I get it, the forums are full of them after the Cronus Zen bans, which I think was a good thing. But sadly, the system seems to be flagging dedicated players and the support process is a black hole.
My evidence is my own history. I'm a grinder. I'm the type of player who completed every single "Road to BF6" challenge in BF2042. I completed every single daily and weekly mission in BF6 from launch until my ban.
Does that sound like the profile of a cheater? Why would I put in dozens of hours grinding legit challenges just to throw it all away? A quick look at my match history would show no suspicious stats, just a lot of time played.
I've been trying to figure out what could have possibly caused a false flag, and I have a few theories:
- Software Conflict #1: I uninstalled another game that had its own kernel-level anti-cheat while BF6 was running. Is it possible the two anti-cheats conflicted?
- Software Conflict #2: I've seen several other posts mentioning this could having the Faceit anti-cheat client (even if it's for another game) be triggering false positives?
- Hardware/Software: I had macros on my Razer mouse, but none were bound to any action. I was literally just playing around with the Razer Synapse settings. Is it possible the anti-cheat just detects the presence of macros in the software even if they aren't used and issues a ban?
If the anti-cheat is this sensitive to other common gaming software, it's a huge problem.
To make matters even more frustrating, I tried to investigate this myself. I requested my EA Data, which took almost a full week for them to even send. When I finally got it, it was completely unhelpful and gave no specific reason for the ban.
This entire experience is terrible for the game and pushes legitimate, paying fans away.
Is this the new standard? How many other people are stuck in this appeal limbo?
