Just ditch the drip feed stuff. Bring back DLC's that you can buy and add actual large scale maps. The current ones are way smaller then older titels. Stick with the original modes, not every addition changes things for the good.
(Before anyone starts crying that they are the same size, look up square km and map size comparisons first)
At this point just add a **bleep** load of maps from the older titles so a new game doesn't feel so dull after a few months.

I would support 1-2 classic maps a season.

I believe its going great and if they add any larger maps then they should balance it with one smaller one too. The maps they have now are some of the best in the series and Ive been playing since Bad Company. I want them to keep doing exactly what they are doing but now each season should be a shout out to BC, BC 2 , BF3 or BF4. A month released every month with a Legacy map and t2 new maps in the country of one of those games. IE, BC was eastern Europe, BC2 was South America, BF3 was Russia / Middle East/ Europe and BF4 was heavily in China.

That’s a very interesting story about you, yes it really it’s not going to lie about it.
I grew up with the 1942, ETC download disc version. Now everything it’s digital from BF1 to BF6. Except not BF 2, BF Bad company 1,2, BF 3,4, 2142, the rest of them were either disc or digital. Would you like to be friends in BF6 or no? - ghostflux4 months agoSeasoned Ace
Yes, they were all enjoyable in their own way. For the time Battlefield 1942 had enormous battles in iconic locations like Omaha beach. One thing that stood out is that there were large scale naval vessels like submarines and aircraft carriers that you could actually pilot. The Desert Combat mod was effectively the inspiration for what would eventually become Battlefield 2. I loved the 50 Cal Barret M82 battle pickup.
Battlefield Vietnam offered a step up in foliage and that really sold the jungle theme/forest maps at the time. It had a shovel gadget for the Vietcong faction that would allow you to create a Sipi hole, which was essentially the precursor to what we know as the spawn beacon today. Unfortunately it was a lesser known title and finding servers was often hard.
Battlefield 2 stood out to me because it was a major leap in quality in pretty much every aspect. Especially in terms of physics. The tricks you could pull with a helicopter in that game are unrivaled. I've had many LAN parties playing both 1942 and 2 until we could no longer keep our eyes open.
Battlefield 2142 had significantly less content than Battlefield 2, but it was still one of my all time favorite Battlefield games. In my opinion Titan Mode was essentially a superior version of Conquest. The futuristic theme that includes Titans, Walkers, Hovertanks and even the Active Cameoflage gadget honestly made it one of the more innovative titles at the time.
Battlefield Heroes/1943/Play4Free weren't all that enjoyable to me. Bad Company 1 stood out to me because it had a very enjoyable single player experience.
Bad Company 2 had maps specifically designed for Rush. It allowed Rush to stand out as a real alternative to a franchise that was focused on Conquest. It had impressive destruction and you could level building to the ground, but that would also mean vehicles were too dominant in the late game. The lack of the ability to prone annoyed me to no end though.
Battlefield 3 and 4 are honestly the games I've sank the most time in. They are simultaneously the high points of the franchise that really made Battlefield establish its own identity and mainstream appeal. They had both had strong gun- and vehicle play. Yet, they were also plagued with many technical issues related to the Frostbite engine.
Battlefield 1 innovated by being one of the few games to explore WW I, it had an unmatched atmosphere and it offered the most aesthetically pleasing and diverse maps. The gun play was distinctly different from the previous titles, but I always felt that having more bolt action weapons was actually a very fresh approach to combat. I didn't enjoy Operations more than I did conquest, but I always felt that the mode itself had tons of potential. Yet it also stood out as the most controversial to me. The comeback mechanic involving Behemoths, the sweet spot mechanic and the way the battle pickups were balanced, seemed like a crutch for bad players. The movement was tedious, lacked skill based mechanics and the slide mechanic was nerfed into the ground until it was beyond useless.

Yeah I understand that. We need both of them to be honest BC fans asked for it
