Mouse cursor not Center-Locked on crosshair during gameplay

Hello, I have never posted here before, but I have to explain an issue I have with this game.

Aiming feels off/inconsistent during gameplay because I noticed that in BF6, and unlike any other FPS games, the mouse cursor isn't locked on the crosshair/middle of the screen. I love this game, but this one small thing is annoying to deal with.

Gameplay Example: Turning the mouse towards the right also turns it upwards into an upper-right motion. Turning left does a "Down Left" motion.  This is mainly because the mouse cursor is freely moving when it's hidden during gameplay.

Although playing on high sensitivity does help remedy this issue slightly, it still affects aiming, and now the occasional risk of over-aiming.

I don't know if anyone else has this exact issue that I have, but I also saw that other players have reported that their aim "feels weird" or "floaty" on pc. You can even test this yourself in a game. If you pause, your mouse will not be in the middle of the screen in front of your crosshair, but in its last location when it's hidden during gameplay.

I play in full screen and tested this on borderless full screen. I tweaked and checked the aim/mouse settings. I turned off and on uniform aim and tested low and high sensitivity. I adjusted the mouse DPI, and yet I still experience this issue. I literally have to change my sens almost every OR few games to adjust.

If the devs just add a small feature of centering your mouse cursor during gameplay, that would fix my problem. I'm fairly high-level on this game, but this one thing is constantly nerfing any chances of getting much better.

Is anyone else experiencing this or noticing this? Or just a personal skill issue on my part? Or a setting I happen to miss?

Thanks

  • I think there's a setting called cursor projection or something like. Wanna say it's under mouse keyboard > infantry > control, i don't remember exactly but it's in there somewhere, The description talks about centering your sights.
