Crossplay itself isn’t the problem — the real issue is the controller and its built-in aim assist. It doesn’t matter whether someone plays on Windows, macOS, Linux, PlayStation, or Xbox — the platform makes no difference to gameplay. The decisive difference only appears once a controller comes into play. Controller players with aim assist have a massive advantage because their crosshair practically sticks to the target. That’s no longer natural aiming; it’s a semi–auto-aim system. Therefore, there shouldn’t be a “crossplay on/off” option, but rather “input-based matchmaking.” Mouse and keyboard vs. mouse and keyboard. Controller vs. controller. Simple as that. This would solve the problem fairly without dividing the community — not by platform, but by input method.
