Supply Pouch Rework Proposal for Better Class Balance
As a player who mainly plays the support class and has also spent some time playing assault in Battlefield 6, I believe the Supply Pouch is not assigned to the right class and doesn’t reach its full potential.
Right now, the Supply Pouch feels very similar to the Supply Bag. For support players, this makes it far less attractive to use, except for faster self-resupply. In practice, it creates gadget redundancy instead of offering a meaningful tactical choice.
In my opinion, the Supply Pouch should instead be assigned to the assault class, with slightly adjusted behavior:
Single-use gadget
Provides limited ammunition resupply
Provides a small emergency heal
Designed strictly as a last-resort option
The goal would be to give assault players a fallback tool when they are low on ammo and no support player is nearby. When I played assault, one of the most frustrating situations was running out of ammunition mid-fight, having no way to continue the engagement, and being forced to search for support players — who often didn’t drop Supply Bags — and ending up dying because I couldn’t reload.
This change would provide:
minimal self-sustain for assault
clearer gadget role separation
less overlap between Supply Pouch and Supply Bag
better combat flow without replacing the core role of support
In short: turning the Supply Pouch into an emergency tool for assault would improve gameplay dynamics without undermining the importance of the support class.
