Tactical Class Loadout Expansion - Elevate BF6 Beyond the Sprint Fest
Hey Battlefield community and DICE devs,
I'm all in on BF6's push toward strategic, combined arms warfare, and here's a refined idea to deepen class choices and reward tactical play for the October launch:
Support Class: Choose Your Area Denial
-Support players keep their grenades but must choose between deployable cover of deployable razor wire--adding a meaningful trade-off between defense and area control
-Razor Wire slows enemies and deals minor damage, forcing them to either crawl through or spend precious seconds snipping it out with a specialized snip tool
-The wire has durability-it can take damage from gunfire and enemies walking through it until it breaks apart giving attackers the option to silently disable it or risk noisy destruction that alerts defenders
-Razor wire and claymores disappear on player death, preventing trap spamming and encouraging strategic deployment
-Engineers must choose between RPG's, anti-tank mines or snips-adding meaningful trade-offs and encouraging teamwork
Recon Class: Claymores for Perch Defense
-Recon players can swap their C4 for claymores to defend their sniper nests without constant paranoia from flankers
-Claymores punish careless rushers but can be shot to detonate prematurely, so players must take care to avoid accidentally triggering them.
-Claymores can also be neutralized by a claymore disarm kit or tool, encouraging skillful and strategic play without outright denying access
-Claymores disappear on player death, just like razor wire, keeping gameplay balanced and fresh
-This balances Recon's scouting role with solid defensive options.
Together these additions create a balanced tactical ecosystem--every class makes meaningful choices, every gadget has purpose, and every engagement demands strategy.
If you want BF6 to stand apart from sprint-and-shoot chaos and reward true teamwork and tactics, this is the way forward.
Cheers,
