The sweetspot mechanic and easier use of the sniper-rifles (lower bullet-drop, smaller maps), is the problem.
Snipings needs to be harder to do and less rewarding.
Why the sweet-spot was put in the game is really strange, it was a problem in BF1 and they removed it in BFV and BF2042...
And sniping has been an issue in BF-games for some time - gamemodes like Breakthrough can be a total sniper-fest. On most custom servers in BF4, the admins had sniper-limits.
