Types of Cross-Play on Gaming Consoles

Currently, cross-play on gaming consoles is limited to either on or off, and there is no cross-play between the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.
While there are likely a certain number of players who turn off cross-play out of concern for encountering cheaters when PC versions are included, turning off cross-play means players can only be matched with others on the same type of console. Wouldn’t it be better to have a new form of cross-play that allows players to be matched with others on any type of console?

In BF6, the vast majority of cheaters are on console+MnK+Xim, etc. not PC

but that’s besides the point. They haven’t added this feature because the matchmaking needs to be fixed first before they’d add this feature where so many console players would turn off PC-crossplay

I wrote a post detailing the matchmaking lobby system flaw, if you can add a comment it will help get the issue fixed, and they can consider adding console-only crossplay:
