What happened to all the real battlefield players?

I play a lot of the smaller game modes because operation firestorm is the only map that isn't a total piece of **bleep** and honestly there are only about 4 smaller maps that are playable but all I encounter anymore is people camping not even in objectives. Even if you play casual breakthrough to do some stupid challenge like sniping which is something I don't do because I am not one of those people if you know what I mean people are just camping the spawns.  Casual breakthrough is for the people who can't succeed in a real match or challenges.  Is this game just filled with cod players. Maybe they should just bring back the old maps so they have some that are good and get rid of the piece of **bleep** redsec and make content for multiplayer.
