Can’t Host Anything in Portal - 'Global Game Quota Exceeded’ Error

If it's unsustainable to offer everyone a persistent server, they should not do that in the first place.

The server rental program in bf3 and bf 4 was better than persistent server this now. When everything is free, tends to be a lot of slops, it's the reality of it.

But it's too late for this game though, maybe next game they can bring server rental for paid subscription, keep temporary server hosting for free though.

It's basically scam at this point, selling a main game feature that does not even work!

Simple as that, I don't care about their excuse!

It's the same issue with 2042 portal, they know it, but either incompetent or not willing to fix it.

They should put 'Global Game Quota Exceeded’ Error on the market material. Hi everyone who bought the game can host a persistent server for free, but 95% of time you will get an error, lol.

It's really very simple they can not support the software they are selling. They do not seem to have a Quota on the number of sales. All this Baloney about "XP" is total BS and as far as I can tell "XP Farming" is not a recognized legal terminology by any Courts. It is 100% a "Money For Nothing" scheme. And their use of the term is an attempt to belittle and besmirch People. They act as though it's some kind of stolen valor or a theft of some kind ... theft from who exactly. I am telling you it is a scheme and I will detail it's set up one more time.

Market and sell some software.

Set up two types of servers, one an actual server running the software, and another cheap old tech one to pump out some BS messaging 100,000 time a minute until it fries. The cheapies cost about 1/100th of the real deal. As time goes by and they sell more copies of the software they only add more and more cheap throw aways ... thus the scam is complete.

Sit back and watch the money roll in.

I did not see any mention of a Global Quota when they pitched the product.

I am not interested in being manipulated by a bunch of Dev's that create games they themselves would probably not be caught dead playing, and will never be forced into PvP gaming with a toxic community. I simply play video games to pass the time instead of watching TV. 

The fatal flaw in their scheme is this, it's not just the THEFT of the purchase price, it the the theft of peoples time. Time is a commodity they can never replace, I dare them to put a price on such a thing. If I have my way I will put a Lap Top in front of a Judge and ask him to Click away at that HOST Button, and then ask them to define "XP Farming" for him.

First, need to add solo and co-op option back and better.

Second, why not let player host locally, it's always connect to the internet anyway.

Third, verified mode only have 3, what about adding other modes.

Fourth, before when creating custom experience you can build upon existing modes, now the modes selection is empty, not sure bug or intended.

And fix the error, it's week 2 already!

I’ve always loved playing solo against AI bots in PvE mode since Battlefield 2042, and I’ve noticed something strange: compared to the first Saturday after Battlefield 6 was released, the total number of AI-controlled bots in MY EXPERIENCES (all verified) has dropped from 64 to 48 when the match starts. That means each team is missing 8 AI soldiers, and the difference in gameplay fun is huge, because the maps now feel much emptier than before when each team had 32 bots.

It’s also almost impossible to host a match now because Portal is overcrowded with XP-farm servers. The situation is a bit better in RUSH mode, since it requires far fewer bots and matches start more easily.

I imagine — or rather, I hope — that this reduction from 64 to 48 bots is only temporary, since managing AI bots consumes a lot of resources. Hopefully, once the developers implement the upcoming measures to better manage Portal servers, they’ll restore the full 64-bot count.

I have found that if you set it to 16 players per team or less, it will usually work. Anything more, even 17 per team, and I get the global game quota exceeded error every single time.

BUT, with conquest it is saying that 32 players is minimum required to start a match and will only backfill with bots up to 24 players and will never start. Rush and Breakthrough have a lower minimum and will run. Can’t play conquest at all. Extremely frustrating.

Not fixed, and won't be fixed in nearest future. By itself, only when online will drop, after everyone is fed up with waiting for normal game modes, balance and other stuff. 

In other case either EA should invest in servers, or make most unpopular decision and disable XP progress completely on Portal.

same to me globale game quata i click 2 hours at 3 sec and went its open i got 104 ping ms please get private server like procon back all people can make server its free and a lot host with my players name make copy of me i report at dice and notthing happen on 2042 cheater start take my name to have peoples my server name JTF2 hardcore  no sens dice do notthing

Since RELEASE I cant HOST an experience in Portal! Always full, always impossible! #Fail
