PC Hard Crash / BSOD in Multiplayer – IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (eaanticheat.sys)

I'm having game crashes which have been ongoing, often when leaving a match, and now kernal level crashes in the middle of matches that point to the games anti cheat. I don't know if they're related or not.

I've uploaded a zip with 3 folders, first is the last 3 frostbite minidump files from game crashes. Second is a kernal minidump from the first hard crash I got. Third includes event viewer logs from a kernal memory dump from second hard crash, along with msinfo32/dxdiag info.

  • Steam overlay is causing the crashes I believe. Played for like 2 hours with it disabled, didn't crash, turned it back on, crashed within 30 minutes. I've eliminated every other variable I (chatgpt) can think of. Reinstalled the anti cheat, No RTSS or MSI afterburner on, steam recording disabled, Core Isolation / Memory Integrity off, every memory enhancement in BIOS disabled and ram downclocked significantly to 4800.

  • Nope, nevermind, got the same crash again with steam overlay turned off. At this point it's in the devs hands, I don't think there's anything else I can do on my end to prevent it.
