STEAMDECK support

I know when I first had the steamdeck, I was able to play all Battlefield games, but suddenly they pulled the plug and support for Battlefield in the steamdeck. I just wanted to play multiplayer anywhere I go again in any Battlefield, heck, it could possibly run Battlefield 6 if they let support reach to it once again!

  • The reason Battlefield titles were pulled from the Steam Deck is the mandatory transition to EA Javelin, a kernel-level anti-cheat that is currently incompatible with Linux-based SteamOS. While Battlefield 6 has officially launched, it requires Secure Boot and TPM 2.0, further locking it out of the native Deck experience. However, there is a glimmer of hope: EA recently posted job listings specifically aimed at charting a path for Javelin to support Linux and Proton. Until that happens, the only way to play multiplayer on the go is by installing a Windows partition on your Deck or using a cloud service like GeForce NOW.
