I preordered CFB26 for PS5 through Walmart, but when they emailed me my pre-order code it was an Xbox code(25 characters instead of 12). I've spoken to a few people from their customer support and they all have referred me to EA.
They wanted me to send back my game too and I refuse to do that. Please let us know if that works
Same situation with me. They , Walmart, are sending another game. Supposed to be a new code. We'll see. This whole situation is f'd up. Not sure if what Walmart is doing, by sending another game and code, will work. It doesn't make sense how that would work since it was a preorder thing. Hopefully, somehow the new code will be legit. The original code i got was 25 characters. I read that it's for Xbox. I wonder if the Xbox dudes got our ps5 codes while we got theirs. Ea and Walmart can make this right. If they cared.
I gave up because EA hasn't even responded to me in the past 2 days and I got a partial refund from WalMart. I dont 100% care anymore. I really wanted the steelbook as collectable but it is the principle of the thing as well. We were promised a bonus for pre ordering and no one wants to provide a solution for the screw up.
Oh, I'm going to keep fighting this as this is full of $%&* and I'm not going to have them do this.
It was a pre order exclusive, new orders will never get a code. Unfortunately unless someone steps up we seem to just be SOL
Don't agree to this. I just got my replacement and they didn't generate a new code at all. I am now going back to Wal Mart customer service to see if they'll be able to generate any code at all this time.
Exactly and now these companies are putting into retailers' hands that hardly know what they are doing here. I remember the days of getting your code on a receipt and then adding it once you get home. Now we are at the mercy of these companies that don't care about you and only want your money.
I’m blaming both parties because it appears they did the same thing last year for the preorder. I preordered the steel book version from Walmart and got what seems to be the **bleep** Xbox code when I clearly ordered the ps5 version. What a mess.
It is and I feel like that EA should just give us the correct code and stop dealing with places like Walmart who outsourcing their Customer Service is not helping as you can barely hear them or understand them.
They told me the same thing and I called back in 48 hours and they told me they needed me to return the game to get a new code. I told them that made no sense because the game is fine I just need a new code. They were telling me to generate a new code they need to order a new game. I was like, how does that make sense, I got PS5 and you provided me a code for another system. It seems like a simple fix but everyone making it difficult. I miss the days the codes just came in the cover of the game.
