Challenge battles are the only way that this game redeems the “pay to win” culture that is developing in mobile games. The way this recent change is addressing the basically giving up on the free2play community.

Who actually has units with 1.5 levels of the league cap? The top players have level 12 units, but the cap is 15 in tiberium. Am I forced to stay out of the top league because I like spending money on the rest of my life?

i love the change of removing 2x medals for challenge battles. It hurts me personally, but it’s smart. Unfortunately, reducing the triggers for those challenge battles at the same time makes the F2P player feel even worse about the constant bombardment of high level units.

If someone uses units that are a stat-check (units that do well against themselves like tanks), the only factor in how effective they are is the level. Any low level player who uses basic infantry, tanks, nod bikes, etc will lose 100% against higher level units. That would be less annoying if that weren’t best strategies for taking on someone with advanced units that are locked.

so, either we lose a regular battle against high level units, or we lose a challenge battle against high tech units, or probably both.

i use nothing but level 8 or 9 units in the tiberium league, and it gets frustrating to constantly fight rich kids with too much access to daddy’s credit card paying a company that is more interested in the whales than the rest of us. If you want a game that dies in 1 year, keep it up. Otherwise, don’t cater to the rich.

    You don't like playing vs. Player with High Level Units? Pay!...or stay in your low League... really?

    Even 1 level difference is already not a fair match, you really give a *, you want people to pay.

    But I won't pay these too high prices, I will soon just stop playing if it bothers me too much.

    you guys do realize that these changes make challenge battles better in every way?

    A) They are easier to trigger when you are a lower level. 4 levels below league cap instead of 3.

    B) You don't want medals from winning, you want exp. Exp gets you crates and unlocks. Medals gets you HARDER MATCHMAKING! Matchmaking is based solely on levels, so if you win a challenge battle, you went up like half a matchmaking bracket! Now you aren't punished for winning challenge battles.

    This isn't the case. You never play without a commander. And the starting commanders are actually some of the best ones. Strongarm is used by some of the top players, and same with Seth. Yea, they aren't flashy with ion cannons, but you aren't at a disadvantage for not being able to use them yet.

    You guys need to calm down and actually read the patch notes rather than jumping down poor Dance's neck. All of this is to help you, the little guys. None of this helps the pay to win players.
  • You missed the point, why should a level 10 players be stuck fighting players that have reached max level?? That’s the issue this game has. A bunch of scrubs are paying thousands to get units leveled up then losing to level back down in leagues. This shouldn’t be happening.

    There should be no stupid rules like this to trigger! If the enemy has 2+ level higher units its a challenge game. Nothing else to discuss further!

  • 😂😂😂 Clearly EA disagrees & only what EA consider fair matters... Life isn't F-A-I-R, why should a War Game be any different 🍻

    ... don't get too bent out of shape... Remember EA Has to provide abundant opportunity to Invest & Earn Profit.

    There's NOTHING significantly wrong with C&C:Rivals... Balance adjustments while important & largely to be expected to some degree, ARE still SECONDARY to implementation of NEW Content & Features.

    I would argue that even when your opponent has 1+ level higher units all across the deck, then it should already be a challenge battle. After all, it *IS* a challenge to overcome an opponent who has a stronger army.

  • This game is going down the toilet. You guys take more away from the game than you add. We can’t even invite members to our alliance?? These champion events are BS. I like a challenge but going up against players who’s 2 levels higher using Avatars, something I’m not even close to unlocking absolutely blows. It’s sad cause the game is fun but zero new features unless you count the laser drones which are pointless imo. Instead of trying to cash in how about working to improve the game and features. How about alliance battles?? That would be a fun event. Establish a in game chat so all players can chat and recruit. Why have to download another app? So much potential but if your getting greedy I may have to bounce and I’m sure others will too.

    FYI how about fixing all the crashes and errors also. Fix the controls so units actually go where you want them. You have to have midget fingers if you want your units to go where you want them. That’s my rant. Like most companies you won’t do a thing about cause your all about the loot.

    I'm sure the developers SEE the complaints... But I can pretty much guarantee IFF I can see how baseless most complaints are the Developers can too.  There are obvious reasons why some things are the way they are,  by design & the design is PERFECT. 

    All I can say is Be Patient & Give Yourself TIME to Improve Develop Strong As Well As Giving The Professionals some well deserved credit... OR... Don't 😂😂😂

    In the end,  C&C:Rivals is Mega Success AND this is J U S T  the first TWO Months.  GREAT Times Are On The Horizon 😎 👌 

  • I have a few friendly tips for you, as almost all my battles are now challenge battles:

    When leveling up your army, go to the 3rd tear of the level but do not press the level up as this will keep your army very strong one level lower.

    Secondly, improve your strategy. One of best stratagies is to scout with infantry and then choose my next unit acrodingly. 

    Avoid buying two harvesters early as the more units you have the longer it takes for create new units the more you have.

    Maybe take out your opponents harvesters. 

    Try to take the first missile, potentially steal the launch just in time.

    Take out the enemy base with strong unis if you can get a cross safely.

  • If Commanders  offer no advantages then why the f*** do you have to unlock them *. Most of the battles I loose are due to the f****** ion cannon. Every time I take over a pad I get decimated by that thing.  It's a pretty big advantage to be able to clear out a whole pad. I shouldn't have to play against units I don't have, the commander being one of them. The more I play the game the more obvious it becomes that this is a pay-to-play game. I get punished for having winning streaks, my rank greatly increases while my money and cards are extremely limited. I have to purposely loose every two or three rounds in order to keep my winning streak down in hopes to not advance too quickly into the next league with low level units. Over half of my battles are challenge rounds because of my league placement and unit rank. Combobulation is my user name, check out my match history. It's a fun game, but definatley has room for improvements.

    If you do unlock solomon will that stop your rage when he ion cannons you? =) If you face him, he requires 150 tib to use his power. So you should make a concentrated effort to harass harvester to keep his tib count low. Can't use it if he can't afford it.

    On the pay to win note, have you looked at the store? How little you get for paying? You can't honestly tell me everyone but you are handing over mad stacks just to get an advantage on you =p

    I'd wager the vast majority of players you have come across are f2p as well.

    Hi this game is very unfair. I played 10 games today and nine of them I am pitted against opponents that are so much higher level than me. He send his mammoth tank and there is nothing I can do or have that can counter it. I will stop playing soon.
