Can't interact with certain objects

Same issue. Starting at about the 8 hour mark I stopped being able to open the special armor chests with the three glowing orbs and I can no longer interact with the fen'harel or evanuris alters/statues.  Then it fixed itself after the Siege of Weisshaupt.  That lasted for one level and now I'm back to not being able to interact with the special armor chests or alters/statues or any timelost gateways. This is a pretty major bug and from what I've seen it's one that A LOT of people have.  I know EA knows about it and yet neither patch has addressed it.  It pretty disappointing to finish a huge battle and find a chest you can't unlock over and over again.  It also is irritating the crap over the completionist in me. Other than that MAJOR issue I've no other performance problems. It's not my computer.  It's your game. I'm waiting for the moment where this issue blocks me from progressing through the story completely. Edit:  I'm starting second playthrough and just realized the wall behind the library table is supposed to have a bookcase with books.  Mines been just a brick wall the entire time.  I think the books disappear at the same time I lose the ability to open chests and statues etc.  I'm trying to figure out the exact moment in the game this all happens.

Deleted entire game and all saves.  Download game and doing a new, clean run after patch 2.

Edit 1:  Lost all the books in the lighthouse bookcase behind the main table after Sea of Blood.  Now there is just a brick wall.  Have also lost the dagger on my hip. First sign of the bug. 

Edit 2: Clean download and new game AFTER the second patch and I have the same problem, only this time it hit me faster.  Sea of Blood was the 4th quest I did, and after I did completed it I couldn't interact with armor chests, fenharel or evenuris statues, or some (not all) of the timelost gateways anymore.  I also lost all the library books and bookshelf behind the table in the library and Solas's blade from my hip.  I've given up on a second run.  I should get a partial refund for having SO MUCH content blocked for me. 

I got into the last couple of acts in Veilguard before this bug reared its ugly head. I managed to finish the game, I just missed a few unique chests.

Then I started a new playthrough and it's been bugged since I got the dagger.

I realized the bug happened when I finish the Formless One quest and couldn't loot the chest in Necropolis.  Then I completed the chapter 8 after the Siege.  I was able to loot the chest then.  But now the bug returned and I couldn't loot the unique chests anymore.  And this is after the big event in Hossberg.  I don't know man... Can't the dev team just make the unique chest being able to open like normal chest? Why must there be this extra requirement that's extremely unnecessary.  I am certain that this bug happened to the QA team and the dev team haven't deem it high priority enough to fix it before launch. 

After several hours of play (I've recruited all the companions), I got the dagger bug when loading an autosave. I tried loading a savegame made 30 minutes before the bug, then I redid the test by loading an autosave, then a savegame, and I realized that the bug appeared when loading an autosave.

I have a little bit more insight into the issue now. I went back to a previous save where the statues were still working (i had originally gotten all companions and was right before weisshaupt when i started noticing the statues not working). I played through a bunch and did my normal shenanigans (mods n trainer stuff) to see if that was the issue, and for a while nothing effected it, and i messed around a lot and they were still working. I did as much as I could side quest wise, got lucanis and all his side quests done. Did all the companion side quests, did all the quests in treviso, minrathous and tried to get all the statues and **bleep** in the crossroads & arlathan that I was able to access, this included the one fen'harel statue in minrathous to get to the champion essence. I just now progressed the story a little further by meeting the first warden, and upon getting to the crossroads after I find that the fen'harel statue in the crossroads when you go to the high anderfels eluvian on the third dock is not lighting up, and there is no button to activate it, so the bug happened again. I'm going to continue the game but I have an old save marked off from where the game wasn't broken yet. So for me the bug happens when I progress the story. I have seen other people saying that the issue fixes itself sometimes after weisshaupt so I'm wondering if it actually is a bug relating to the main quests somehow being bugged. Could even be related to the scene in-between when you talk to varric as they literally talk about the dagger so maybe its something in that? Just some more insight into the bug.

Edit: i went back into my autosaves to get the exact moment the dagger disappears and realized it had to of happened when I was either doing bellara or hardings first personal quest, or during slow poison in treviso. Because my autosave from before doing bellara and hardings quests and slow poison I have the dagger, the autosave I have towards the end of slow poison but not completely completed the dagger is gone. The only other quest I had to complete was coffee with lucanis but in this autosave I hadn't done it yet so that's not where it came from. So it either happened bc of bellaras personal quest, hardings personal quest, or slow poison in treviso.

edit to my edit: i went through the quests again, it didn't bug out this time. i am not sure whats different but i guess ill just have to pay even closer attention to my saves

Any news from the devs? It is a big gamebreaking bug and still no news from them? 

Alright, I'm going to take the leap and start a new playthrough.  I'll be importing my old character's appearance, but otherwise starting fresh.  I'll keep you guys updated here.

Update 11/17: So far so good, collected the dagger normally and have been able to get all collectibles so far.  I'll update again if something breaks, or when I get to Weisshaupt since that's where people seem to start having problems.

Update 11/19:  Several people have suggested that a cutscene with Varric just before recruiting Davrin can cause the bug.  I watched the cutscene, then quickly cleared an altar in Arlathan without issue, so if that causes the bug, it's not consistent.

So I've been checking again and again to see if the dagger is visible. I was able to play my Mage (after loading a save far in advance) until shortly before Weisshaupt. The dagger handle is still visible before the sequence. No longer visible after the video. I have played the siege of Weisshaupt to the end until I reach the lighthouse again. The dagger handle is no longer visible. Now, of course, I'm afraid to continue playing if there's a risk that I won't be able to use any chests / altars.

Okay experiment time. I have completely removed EVERYTHING DA:TV related from my PC including all save files and any files left behind after unistalling the game. I am going to try a completely Clean Install of the game and play to see if I can get through without the bug occuring. Because I see that it appears to be completely random as to how and why this bug appears. I'll see you guys on the other side. Hopefully I will either not encounter it again or if I do I will be able to confirm what triggered it. I'll keep you posted 

The bug with the Dagger of Solas is no longer there on a new character created with patch 2. I think all saves created with patch 1 are corrupted (waiting for a patch, or a savegame editor). I've even resumed a savegame created without a patch and I can use the Dagger of Solas.
