Download Stuck in Preparing & 2%

Was super excited to try out split fiction, trying to download friend's pass and download is stuck circling preparing and at 2% I see the folder but nothing else. I've tried the app recovery thing, to no avail.. uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing. any tips?

I also noticed on steam I cannot download the friend's pass either..
