I have been trying to update my sims 4 game, but the app continues to state it cannot connect to the internet. I play using a Mac, and my Mac is connected to the internet. I tried clearing the cache, logging in and out of the app, uninstalling and reinstalling it, and none of it worked. I reached out to the support team via chat and they just told me to report it on the forums.
I have been trying to do this update for 3 weeks now!! I just want to play the game!! I can't even play the game without this update so Im stuffed!! not happy :-(
I had this issue for weeks and just managed to fix it by changing my DNS server to 8.8.8.8.

I would just keep a note of your current DNS server before changing it in case.
I am having this same issue and there isn't a problem with my internet it does this even when I'm at my bf’s house and my friends

Same here! So frustrating. With all the money we spend on the game and add-ons, it's crazy not to even be able to play...
Been having the same issue it is super dumb.
I have the same problem with bf42 on my PC, I can play a game every now and then but then I get disconnected and I did everything but update my ea app I’ll try it when I’m off work and lyk
