EA App Not Connecting to Internet

I'm trying to update my game with the newest patch and every time I've tried for the past several days, I get a pop-up saying that the EA app cannot connect to my wifi, despite my mac being connected. I tried re-downloading the EA app, clearing the cache, repairing the game, and restarting my mac and none of it has helped.
