Summarize your bug Hello, I know that EA Desktop is still under development but I want to tell you the problem I'm having. I was just about to play Star Wars on my laptop until this problem popped up. I opened EA Desktop, then I pressed the game to play it, it turns out that there is the latest update of 72MB for the game. I just pressed the "update" button and instantly the "update" button turned into a "downloading" button which I couldn't press at all. When I checked the download queue, it said that my game had finished updating. But strangely it didn't stop for almost 2 hours, it just kept saying that my game was finished updating. I can't play the game at all because it says that the game is still in the process of being updated. Please help me ☹️
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just press the update button from one game and then it turns into unclickable "downloading" button and endless download queue.
What happens when the bug occurs? I can't play the game at all and it didn't stop for almost 2 hours.
What do you expect to see? I hope I can finally play the game ☹️

In that case I have some more tips for you @RagingWillow:

    • Open the EA app as an administrator.
    • Turn off any VPN/Firewall/Anti-virus/Proxy that you may have or set an exception for the EA App.

I'll also try to download and install JFO to see what happens for me.

    Hi @RagingWillow,

In the EA app there is the possibility to clear the cache. Simply click on the 3 lines in the top left, go to Help > App Recovery and clear the cache.

Clearing the cache usually helps resolve issues such as stuck downloads. Give it a go and let me know what happens.

  • First pict:

It will look like this, I'm confused why the game can be updated without consuming storage capacity.

    Second pict:

I've been waiting for it for almost an hour and it's still running like that without any changes.

    Pls help me ☹️

  • @EA_Jason Hello, I just tried your suggestion, I tried to uninstall and reinstall EA Desktop, I also turned off all VPN/Proxy I was using and opened EA Desktop as administrator. Thank you very much, it helped my problem, no problem in the download queue anymore and no problem updating the game, thank you so much 😉
